BODYTEC PLATE-LOADED T-BAR ROW (STANDING ROW)

Load the horn. Own the pull

  • Biomechanics-true lever path: rear pivot + long arm produce a smooth resistance curve that peaks mid-row for maximum lat/upper-back stimulus.
  • Ergo multi-grip head: neutral bars reduce wrist stress and let you load heavy without forearm crank.
  • Dual stance platforms: wide, textured plates keep feet locked in during hard sets and varied torso angles.
  • Brace-and-control side handles: adjustable yellow linkages give you something to hold while setting up, or to assist reps safely.
  • Olympic plate loading: standard Ø50 mm horn with stop-flange.
  • Commercial build: heavy-gauge steel, gusseted joints, high-tension hardware, industrial finish.
  • Compact footprint: low profile slides under rigs or into corners; perfect for busy floors.
  • No cables, no excuses: near-zero upkeep, high uptime.

Biomechanics

  • Primary pattern: hip-hinged horizontal pull.
  • Scapular mechanics: protraction on reach, depression + retraction on pull for latissimus dorsi and mid-trap engagement.
  • Moment arm: longest around mid-range, matching the back’s strength curve and delivering a powerful stimulus where it counts.
  • Spinal loading: neutral spine with isometric erector work; footplates let you fine-tune stance width to keep pelvis stable.
  • Grip line: neutral grips bias lats and teres; slight torso angle changes shift emphasis to rhomboids/rear delts.

Exercises you can perform

  1. Neutral-grip T-bar row (standard bilateral).
  2. High-torso row for mid-trap/rhomboid emphasis.
  3. Low-torso row for lat emphasis.
  4. Meadows-style one-arm row (hold a single bar for unilateral focus).
  5. Extended-range partials at top or bottom.
  6. Tempo/eccentric control work using the side brace handles for spot-assist.
  7. Drop sets by quickly de-loading plates on the front horn.

Muscles targeted

  • Primary: Latissimus dorsi, rhomboids, middle and lower trapezius.
  • Secondary: Rear deltoids, biceps brachii, brachialis/brachioradialis, spinal erectors, deep core/hip stabilizers (isometric).

Ops & spec highlights

  • Resistance: Olympic plates, Ø50 mm horn.
  • Adjustments: Side stabilizer handles on multi-bolt linkages (angle/height set-and-forget).
  • Frame: Heavy-duty rectangular tubing; matte powder-coat; rubberized feet.
  • Platforms: Dual textured, anti-slip plates.
